Domaine de RochevineSHOWCASE FOR THE SAINT-DÉSIRAT WINERY

Cave Saint-Désirat - Domaine de Rochevine

WHY ROCHEVINE ?

This was the name given to our village under the French Revolution, when communes with the name of a Saint were “de-christened”, which is how Saint-Désirat came to be renamed Rochevine (Wine rock) for a few years around 1790. A testament to the significance of wine production at that time.

Rochevine today...

Planting on the Domaine de Rochevine started in 1991 and is now complete. It comprises :

  • 1.1 ha producing Condrieu (Viognier grape variety)
  • 14.4 ha planted with Syrah (Saint-Joseph Red)
  • 2.5 ha planted with Roussanne and Marsanne (Saint-Joseph White)

There are thus 16.9 ha of Saint-Joseph in Saint-Désirat and 1.1 ha of Condrieu in Limony
