Terroir
Owned by a group of passionate wine-growers, the Domaine de Rochevine covers a single stretch of land in the village of Saint-Désirat.
At the time of the French Revolution, the commune of Saint-Désirat was renamed Rochevine (wine rock). The Domaine decided to keep this name.
Domaine de Rochevine is the flagship of Cave Saint-Désirat. It produces primarily Saint-Joseph red, together with a little Saint-Joseph white and Condrieu.
Tasting
Strong ruby red colour, quite aromatic, complex, powerful, bearing the stamp of its terroir. For the nose, notes of red fruits, slight woodiness, aroma of wild blackberries.
On the palate, a tannic wine with good structure, notes of black cherry.
Serve whith
Recommended to accompany red meat.
Service
Serve at 16/17°C. Good wine for laying down (8 years)
