The "Croix des Mariniers" or better to say bargeman crosses, used to be the erected crosses on the bow ot he Rhône river vessels.
Adorned with "Arma Christi", they protected the crews during their perilous journeys on the Rhône river.
They are masterpieces of Naive Art.
