Terroir
This is a wine from the northern Côtes du Rhône located in the north of the département of Ardèche, on the slopes on the right bank of the Rhône. The vineyard is grown on the south and south-east facing granitic terraces, the "historical" terroir for these vine-stocks.
Vinification
The SAINT-JOSEPH RED is a SYRAH monovarietal wine. This wine comes from organically-grown grapes. Our vineyard it tilled and maintained naturally, respecting the yearly cycles, the biology of the soil, and its environment. Certified by Qualité France, an independent body, these wines will delight you by the authenticity of their taste and of their terroir.
Tasting
Intense, sustained ruby red colour. The nose is fairly simple, though more expressive after airing, with notes of "jammy" , cocoa-flavoured black fruits. The attack on the palate is suave, with aromas of black fruits, "chewy" , a fine structure, a powerful, well-balanced wine with a very long finish of fine, silky tannins. A wine that will be the perfect accompaniment to dishes prepared with red meats, and matured cheeses.
Serve whith
A magnificent wine to discover, to enjoy with red meat, game, strongly-flavoured sauced dishes, and matured cheeses.
Service
A wine to be drunk at a temperature varying between 16 and 18°C, after airing.
